Baptism Saves

This week in worship, we hear of Jesus stepping into the waters of Baptism, not because He needed cleansing, but to stand in the place of sinners and fulfill all righteousness for us. At the Jordan, the Father’s voice declares His beloved Son, and through Baptism that same promise is spoken over us. United to Christ, we are claimed as God’s children.
